ANGUL: Ahead of the upcoming consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a nationwide cleanliness campaign at all temples. As part of this initiative, Union Education and Skills Minister Dharmendra Pradhan officially kicked off a cleanliness drive today at the Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath Temple in Odisha's Angul district.

Pradhan shared a video on social media, discussing his active involvement in the cleanliness drive at the Jagannath Temple. In the post, he highlighted the widespread excitement across the country, including Odisha, for the grand reception of Lord Ram. The minister encouraged citizens to actively participate in cleaning temples and pilgrimage sites until January 22nd. In the video, Pradhan was seen personally mopping the temple premises.

Commitment to Cleanliness
Expressing his commitment to cleanliness, Pradhan stated, "The consecration ceremony, known as Pran-Pratishtha, symbolizes the infusion of life into the idol of Ramlala. People nationwide, including those in Odisha, eagerly await the arrival of Shri Ram, presenting a significant opportunity for our country." He added, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called on everyone to join the nationwide cleanliness campaign at temples leading up to the consecration of the Ram Temple."

"I feel blessed to contribute to the cleanliness drives at Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath Temple in Jindal Nagar, responding to PM Modi’s call. True satisfaction comes from serving devotees and God," Pradhan remarked. Before the cleanliness drive, the Union Minister paid his respects to Lord Jagannath, seeking divine blessings.

He also shared an audio message, anticipating the Ram Mandir inauguration in Ayodhya on January 22. During his visit to Maharashtra, he conducted a roadshow in Nashik before visiting the renowned Kalaram Temple dedicated to Lord Ram.
