After a five-year hiatus, the dance reality series Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is set to return with an incredible cast of contestants and exceptionally talented judges. Fans' expectations were raised by Dheeraj Dhoopar's appearance on the show, and he made a number of frank revelations. The actor discusses Karan Johar's best compliment as it relates to him. He claims that being referred to as the "SRK of TV" means the world to him.

The actor responded, "Honesty, I have never been formally trained in dancing, but as an actor, a part of your craft is to be a good dancer, so that's what made me participate in the dance reality show. And Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is the biggest dance reality show, featuring professional choreographers from whom you can learn new dance styles each week and perform. Additionally, I've never participated in a reality show, so when JDJ—which has such well-known people on the jury—was offered to me, I thought it would be the best way to launch my reality show career. My goal was to become a better dancer, actor, and performer at the conclusion of my journey on the show.

When questioned, "How did you find the first episode's production?" He claimed that "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" was his first reality show and that his first day of filming was surreal because he was performing in front of such a talented group of judges. When he said that I am the "SRK" of television, Karan Johar sir bestowed the highest compliment. Nothing could have made my day better than that one little phrase.

The actor continued, "I'm not saying that I can't dance at all. I'm just saying that I want to challenge myself through the dance reality show. I've dedicated 14 years of my life to this field, participated in numerous events, and travelled internationally for dance competitions, but reality shows are quite different. It's not a performance; to improve your dancing, you must practise daily for five to six hours over the course of three to four months. Second, I should be able to dance well because I'm an actor. I don't want to say that this is too difficult if a choreographer approaches me tomorrow and demands that I perform this dance on my show. Instead, I want to say, "Let's do this if that's what you want."

In response to the question of what motivated him to apply for the show, he stated, "I am out of my comfort zone while doing a reality show, as I have never done one in the 14 years of my career. Every day, I put myself to the test. I recently became a father, and my other show, Sherdil Shergill, will premiere very soon. So, these are three distinct journeys, and they all demand a significant investment of time and effort. I am thankful to God for bringing all three of these things into my life at the same time. To make time for all three of them, I must now control my timing, physicality, strength, and energy. Yes, I am here and I'm here to win, but I do get tired, and it sometimes affects my health. When I hold my child at night, I completely forget about the day; there is no stress or exhaustion. I just want to be there and keep looking at him.”

When questioned about why he didn't appear on any other reality shows, he responded, "I never found the time! By God's grace, I was, hopefully, always busy. Daily soap seems to take a lot of time; you are working 12 hours a day and are exhausted when you get home. Then there are occasions that you must attend and for which you ultimately travel. Therefore, it takes a long time. I believe that I should give a project my all if I take it on, whether it be a reality show or a daily soap. I never imagined I'd be able to accomplish it. Although my wife is my biggest supporter, I was a little hesitant when I spoke to her and she told me to just go for it. After watching this show, I believe I'll feel right at home in the real world. I am expanding my knowledge and gaining a sense of reality. Maybe I'll pay more attention to reality shows if I start to enjoy it more.
