One of the most loved actors in South Industry Thalapathy Vijay remained in news for various reasons. Their divorce rumors are spread all over. Vijay and his wife Sangeetha have been married for  23 years. There are rumors that all is not well and they are heading for a divorce. 

The report stated, "The rumors of Vijay and Sangeetha's divorce are baseless. We have no idea how it started." It also revealed that Sangeetha is currently on a holiday with the kids She was absent at the Varisu trailer launch. Vijay and Sangeetha's divorce rumour began after mysteriously actor's portal stated that he and his wife are getting divorced with mutual consent. But the page has taken it off now and mentions nothing about the development as such.  However, these are the rumors as none of them confirms the reports.  

Vijay’s wife met Sangeetha Sornalingam was his die heart fan. During one of the shooting schedules in Chennai in 1996. She had come from the UK and lauded him for his spectacular performance in the Poove Unakkaga. He invited her to his house the next day for a chat and to meet his family. The duo fell in love and tied the knot on August 25, 1999.

Vijay and Sangeetha got married according to both Hindu and Christian traditions. They welcomed their first child, Jason Sanjaya in 2000 and their daughter in 200. On the work front, Vijay will be appearing in the film Varisu this Pongal. The film has been directed by Vamshi Paidipally, stars Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, and also features a supporting cast including R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Khushbu, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, and Sangeetha Krish.
