Team India captain Virat Kohli has been in a lot of trouble. Cases have been filed against him for a dispute of interests, which has been started by the Ethics Officer / Ombudsman DK Jain of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Jain has demanded an answer from Kohli on the allegations against him but BCCI officials have deliberately cited this complaint as a reason to harass Kohli.

What is the whole matter: According to the information received, a complaint was received by Jain, a lifelong member of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association, through email. In this complaint, which was also sent to BCCI President Sourav Ganguly on July 4, Sanjiv alleged that in addition to being the captain of Team India, Virat Kohli is also the co-director in two companies Sport (LLP) and Cornerstone Venture Partner (LLP). He is also a director at Cornerstone Sport & Entertainment Pvt Ltd, a talent agency, which has engaged several players in the Indian team for commercial and branding rights. Apart from the Indian captain among these players are KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Umesh Yadav, and Kuldeep Yadav etc.

This is a violation of Rule 38 (4): Sanjeev Gupta has alleged that Virat Kohli has to hold many posts at one time and stay in such positions, it is very troublesome. This is a violation of Rule 38 (4) of the BCCI Constitution approved by the Supreme Court of India. This rule prevents a man from holding multiple positions. Kohli may have to abdicate one of his posts following this. DK Jain has confirmed the receipt of such an email on asking about this complaint. He said, "I have received a complaint. I will check it and then see if any issue arises. If there is an issue, I should be given a chance to answer him". It is also being said that in the last tenure of Jain, who started his second term a month ago, Sanjeev Gupta also had complaints against Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and VVS Laxman. However, later those allegations were declared wrong by the Lokpal.

BCCI is unhappy with the complaint: According to reports, BCCI is not at all happy with Gupta's complaint against Virat Kohli. A BCCI officer called it an action intentionally harassing the Indian captain. He further said about this, for the last few years, there are constant complaints about Kohli and his company. Seeing this, it is felt that some people are trying to blackmail by creating pressure. Complaints coming from 6 years will show that someone wants to harm the Indian captain. As it has come to be known that Virat is not at all happy with these things. To pay attention to these complaints means to help the conspirators and to further them.
