The Tamil Nadu state Government has passed a bill to provide 7.5 per cent reservation to government school students in medical courses. The bill was sent to State Governor Banwarilal Purohit for the approval. The Governor had assured that he would take a decision soon on the Bill and asked few days time. MK Stalin who gathered his partymen and p[rotest in front of President house was condemned by AIADMK CM as  DMK chief MK Stalin was “shedding crocodile tears” on the issue.

EPS has told that His (Stalin’s) moves are nothing but efforts to create an illusion that the assent for the Bill is given only because of his statements. The Tamil Nadu CM has announcement that the Covid vaccine would be administered free of cost to everyone in the State. He is one of the few CM to take the decision ahead of the fellows. Referring to Stalin's remark on this announcement Palaniswami said: “Stalin is already jealous of the goodwill earned by the AIADMK government".

However, CM is confident that of the Bill passing by the Governor, he said, "“I am confident that he will give his assent since it will pave way for establishing social justice for students from the poor and downtrodden sections of the society, in medical admissions". He added, the DMK and the Congress, who introduced the NEET initially, had no rights to blame the AIADMK government.
