Jehanabad: Orders have been issued to take strict action against those found negligent in emergency wards or dedicated covid centres of Sadar Hospital. Yes, these orders have been issued by District Collector Naveen Kumar. He passed the order during a meeting with health department officials last Saturday. During the meeting, he said that all the doctors of the hospital should do their duty with utmost urgency, sensitivity and responsibility in times of crisis and come on time. At the same time, DM Naveen Kumar also said, "He has been informed that some doctors have been missing from duty and not arriving on time. Under compulsion, doctors who are already on duty there have to work overtime.''
At the same time, he asked the civil surgeon to identify such doctors and personnel and make a list of them. The number of patients is also continuously increasing in the hospital these days in view of the havoc caused by corona. Taking stock of this, the District Collector said, "Most people have a big option of treatment in government hospitals. In such a situation, the facilities of the emergency ward of the hospital need to be maintained. In the emergency ward of the hospital, many people also come due to other diseases, so it is important to ensure that no corona positive patients can stay in the emergency ward. This puts other serious patients at risk of infection.''
He also directed that "the district administration is constantly monitoring the facilities of Sadar Hospital and Dedicated Coweed Centre. The district administration will not allow any shortage of facilities. Doctors on duty should immediately contact the Superintendent in-charge, Sadar Hospital or Manager in case of need of medicines and be prompt to supply so that the shortage of medicines does not add to the woes of the patients.''
