Hyderabad: The Congress has leveled serious allegations against All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi. In fact, Congress has alleged that Owaisi's name is registered as a voter in two different assembly constituencies of Telangana. In this regard, Congress leader G. Niranjan has written a letter to the Election Commission demanding action against Owaisi.

According to reports, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee senior vice-president, G. Niranjan, has written a letter to Chief Electoral Officer Rajiv Kumar. In this letter, he has alleged that AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi's name is registered as a voter in two different assembly constituencies of Telangana. Owaisi's name is listed in the voters' list of Rajendra Nagar and Khairatabad in Telangana, the charge said.

In this case, G Niranjan has released a video saying that it is not right for an MP to have his name in the voter list of two places and keep watching it silently. Therefore, a letter has been sent to the Election Commission by the Telangana Congress Committee. However, there has been no statement from Asaduddin Owaisi on this allegation so far, nor has the Election Commission made any comment about G Niranjan's letter.
