Raipur: In a shocking incident, a son attacked his mother with a hammer and killed her. He then fled from the spot. The incident took place in Tekari village under the Mujahan police station area. The incident caused a stir in the area. The police reached the spot as soon as the news was received. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem examination. A search has been launched for the absconding criminal.

According to the news received, the name of the deceased was Phoolbai and she was 55 years old. People in the vicinity said that the culprit is mentally ill. A few days ago, he was admitted to the hospital. At the same time, the husband of the deceased is a watchman. It is being said that on Friday morning, Phoolbai's husband went to his job. Phoolbai and her son were at home. She was cooking for her son at 10 a.m. Then the son attacked the mother with a hammer. Phoolbai died on the spot.

Neighbors told the police that the accused was addicted to drugs. He used to ask his mother for money for alcohol every day. There was often a dispute between the two about this. Maybe that would be the reason why her son killed her. On the other hand, Mujhahan police station in-charge Vijay Thakur said that a case of murder has been registered against Phoolbai's son.
