Bhubaneswar: NDA Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu, who arrived in Bhubaneswar for campaigning, has been accorded a grand welcome with a traditional dance song. Draupadi Murmu was given a grand welcome by BJP MPs, MLAs, leaders and BJD delegation members at Bhubaneswar airport.
It may be noted that the traditional dance song playing at the airport made the entire atmosphere vocal. Along with the workers, the leaders were also seen dancing and playing the Manjeera. Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Shadangi herself was seen playing the Manjeera and dancing with the rhythm. Aparajith said that such is the choice of the PM that today people above the party are supporting. After leaving the airport, she reached the state guest house. After some time of rest in the guest house, she reached the assembly conference hall. She met BJD MLAs and MPs here. A meeting was also held under the chairmanship of Naveen Patnaik in the Assembly conference hall, in which all the MLAs and MPs of Biju Janata Dal and Draupadi Murmu were also present and welcomed.
Biju Janata Dal MP and educationist Dr Achyut Samant has said that the entire Odisha is proud of the candidature of Draupadi Murmu as the presidential candidate, one is a woman and the other is a tribal woman. Along with this, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik felicitated Draupadi Murmu.
