The education technology company 'Academy' and fantasy sports platform 'Dream 11' had formally submitted documents related to the interest of the IPL to get title sponsorship rights ie EOI in place of Chinese mobile phone company Vivo this year.

The last date for submission of EOI to BCCI was till Friday. The IPL is scheduled to be held in the UAE from 19 September to 10 November this year. A senior BCCI source aware of this told PTI that yes, Academy and Dream 11 have submitted EOI to get title sponsorship rights of IPL.

There was a lot of speculation that Tata Motors would also be present in it but it could not be confirmed whether the company had expressed its interest. The official said that the EOI does not mention the bidding amount. It was to be sent on 18 August. The BCCI had already clarified that the highest bidder cannot get the title sponsorship rights until the parent body is satisfied with its plan. Just got the news that Dream 11 has already bought the sponsorship of IPL for around 250 crores.
