Hyderabad: MLA from Dubbaka constituency in Siddipet district, Solipeta Ramalingareddy (57) has passed away. This news has shaken everyone. He has embraced death in a private hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday midnight. After hearing the news of his death, there has been a wave of mourning in the constituency. He was ill for a long time.

In the past, his leg surgery was also done. According to reports, he got an infection in his leg only after surgery and due to this, he was admitted in a private hospital in Hyderabad. He passed away at midnight last Wednesday. Ramalinga Reddy won elections from Dubbaka constituency four times as an MLA. Apart from this, Ramalinga Reddy was very close to Chief Minister KK Chandrasekhar Rao and won the election for the first time in the year 2004. He was re-elected in the 2008 by-election. After this, when he contested in 2009, he had to face defeat. He fought in the elections held in 2014 and 2019 and became MLA twice in a row.

Ramalinga Reddy also worked for various newspapers in the United Medak, Zahirabad, Dubbaka, Siddipet and Sangareddy districts. Ramalinga Reddy participated in many movements as a journalist. Ramalinga Reddy was also active in the Naxalite movement and he is a resident of Chittapur of Dubbaka Mandal. His wife Sujatha, son Satish Reddy and daughter Udayashree are saddened by his demise. Chief Minister KCR and other leaders have also expressed grief over the death of Ramalinga Reddy.
