Earthquake was felt in many states of India on Tuesday: Reports say that on Tuesday, strong tremors have also been felt in many states of India. The earthquake measured 6.6 on the Richter scale. The impact of this earthquake on Tuesday night was in the entire North India including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The epicenter of the earthquake was the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. After these shocks, people came in panic and have come out of their homes. However, fortunately, no loss of life or property has been reported from the country so far.

Why earthquakes occur: The earth is said to be mainly made up of 4 layers. Inner Core, Outer Core, Mantle and Crust. The crust and upper mantle core are called lithosphere. Now this 50-km thick layer is divided into several sections, also called tectonic plates . That is, the upper surface of the earth is made up of 7 tectonic plates. These plates are never stable, they are constantly moving, when these plates move towards each other, they collide. Many times these plates are also broken. A large amount of energy is released by their collision, this causes a stir in the area. Many times these tremors are of very low intensity, so they are not even felt. While sometimes they are of such high intensity, that the earth explodes.
