Jabalpur: In Shahpura Bhitoni in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur, two LPG rakes of a freight train derailed,  said railway officials on Wednesday.

The West Central Railway CPRO said that the derailment occurred when the cargo train was being positioned for unloading. More information is awaited.

"Last night, two LPG rake waggons of a freight train derailed as they were being positioned for offloading. Train mainline traffic remained unaffected. The main line's train traffic is typical. After daylight, restoration work began with siding officials present. Owner of the siding has issued a fitness certificate, according to CPRO West Central Railway.

Rajdhani Express (train no. 22812) was passing from there, a tractor slammed into a railway gate close to the Santhaldih railway crossing, preventing a serious train accident, a railway official. The tractor became caught between the railway track and the gate during the event, which happened at the Santhaldih railway crossing, close to the Bhojudih railway station.

On June 2, a three-train crash in Balasore, Odisha, resulted in at least 275 fatalities and over 1000 injuries. According to preliminary assessment, the accident may have been caused by "signalling interference," according to the railways.

The Bangalore -Howrah Superfast Express, the Coromandel Express, and a cargo train were all involved in the three-way collision at Bahanaga Bazar Station in the Balasore district, according to the preliminary report on the disaster.
Up to 17 coaches from these two passenger trains were seriously damaged when the accident occurred on Friday night.
