Kolkata: The troubles of Partha Chatterjee, a former minister in the Mamata government arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the West Bengal Teachers' Recruitment Scam (SSC scam), are not taking the name of abating. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee finally dropped Parth Chertji from the cabinet on Thursday after all the criticism. In fact, Mamata Banerjee has taken this step due to heavy pressure after the continuous exchange of notes from the flats of Arpita Mukherjee, who is close to Partha Chatterjee.

Let us know that the ED has so far recovered more than Rs 50 crore in cash from two flats of Arpita Mukherjee. According to the report, Arpita Mukherjee has confessed in the ED's interrogation that the entire money belongs to Partha Chatterjee. It is also worth noting that the ED may have received crores of rupees, but according to the affidavit that Parth had submitted to the Election Commission before the 2011 elections, he had only Rs 6,300. In fact, after his name came up in the scam, the affidavits submitted by Partha Chatterjee to the Election Commission have come out. According to him, in the 2021 assembly elections, Partha Chatterjee had told the Election Commission that he had only Rs 1,48,676 in cash.

In 2011, he had said that the amount was only Rs 6,300. However, in 2011, Partha Chatterjee had shown a total income of Rs 11,64,555. While in 2021, he had shown the total income in its return as Rs 5,39,720. The question also arises here that a year ago, where did Parth, who had shown an income of about Rs 5.5 lakh, suddenly get Rs 50 crore from? Did he file a false affidavit before the Election Commission?
