New Delhi: Election strategist Prashant Kishore may join Congress. The speculation market was heated only after Prashant Kishore met Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and party interim president Sonia Gandhi. Now, media reports suggest that he may join the Congress.

According to information received, interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi was also associated online due to the meeting of Prashant Kishore, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. K.C. Venugopal was also present. The meeting lasted for about 1 hour. Prashant Kishore had sought an appointment with him. Prashant Kishore was not consulted on the same Punjab Congress controversy. However, he discussed the congress' prospects in the upcoming assembly elections. There was also no talks on taking Sharad Pawar's name forward as UPA President.

Sources said, there is no change in the post of Congress leader in the Lok Sabha at present. Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary will continue as congress leader in the Lok Sabha in this session. In May after the West Bengal assembly elections, Prashant Kishore had spoken of putting an end to his work as a strategist. In the discussion, he had said, "I don't want to continue what I am doing now. I have done a lot of work in this sector. Now is the time for me to stay and do something different in life. Now, I want to leave this place."
