Prime Minister Narendra Modi has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the most followed world leader on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). This impressive feat was recognized by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who congratulated PM Modi with a message on X, saying, “Congratulations PM @NarendraModi on being the most followed world leader!”
As of July 14, PM Modi's follower count on X reached 100 million, a number that continues to grow, now standing at 100.2 million. This achievement places him ahead of other notable world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, who has 38.1 million followers, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with 6,433 followers, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni with 2.4 million, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with 6.5 million.
In comparison to Indian leaders, PM Modi's follower count is significantly higher. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has 27.5 million followers, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has 26.4 million followers, and Akhilesh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party has 19.9 million followers. Other notable Indian leaders include West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee with 7.4 million followers, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav with 6.3 million, and NCP Chief Sharad Pawar with 2.9 million followers.
