London: England's visit to Pakistan next month has also come under suspicion after New Zealand's visit to Pakistan was cancelled due to big defence reasons. According to media reports, England may also cancel their visit to Pakistan. Though no formal announcement has yet been made by the England Cricket Board (ECB), the ECB is said to be making a decision in the next 24 to 48 hours.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said they will decide in the next 48 hours whether next month's tour will go ahead. A spokesperson said, "We are aware of New Zealand's decision to withdraw from the Pakistan tour due to security alerts. We are approaching our security team, which is currently in Pakistan, to fully understand the situation.'' ECB will then decide in the next 24-48 hours whether our planned visit should proceed. It may be recalled that the England team is scheduled to tour Pakistan to play the T20 series next month. England is scheduled to play a two-match T20 series with Pakistan on October 13 and 14. Both these matches are to be played in Rawalpindi. This will be his first visit to Pakistan since 2005.

The New Zealand cricket team ended the ODI match against Pakistan before the start of the match. New Zealand has taken this decision in terms of security. The New Zealand team reportedly refused to go to the field shortly before the toss and then it was reported that the tour was being cancelled.
