Following a masterful batting and bowling display, England destroyed Pakistan by 67 runs in the seventh T20 international, which would decide the series. Dawid Malan (78 not out off 47 balls) and Yorkshire teammate Harry Brook (46 not out of 29) slammed 108 from the final 61 deliveries of the innings to help England score 209-3 after being introduced in Lahore.

Both players benefited from dropped catches as Babar Azam hammered Malan and Brook for 29 and 24 respectively before Mohammad Wasim grassed top-scorer Malan for 62 in his 20th overs, which was smashed for 20. As a result, Pakistan struggled to 142-8 in their reply. Mohammad Rizwan was bowled by Reece Topley for one in the second over, and skipper Babar was out for four by Chris Woakes (3-26) in the opening over of the chase, dropping the home team to 5-2.

With Woakes and David Willey (2-22) in the wickets, Shan Masood (56 off 43) playing the only notable knock, Adil Rashid with tidy figures of 1-25 after an expensive last few outings, and Shan Masood with wicket-taking figures of 1-25, Pakistan simply could not get going against an England attack that was bowling with consummate professionalism.

Before the T20 World Cup in Australia later this month, with their opening game against Afghanistan at The Optus Stadium in Perth on October 22, live on Sky Sports, England's 4-3 triumph broke a run of four white-ball series without a victory. By then, England will hope to have captain Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone, and Ben Stokes back in their starting lineup. The trio missed the Pakistan series due to injury; Buttler (calf) and Livingstone (ankle), while Stokes was rested following the summer of tests.
