One of the well-known figures in the television industry is Nikki Tamboli. The actress became well-known after taking part in Bigg Boss 14. She appeared in numerous music videos after her time on this reality show, and she also took part in other reality shows. The actress is once again making headlines after being mentioned in the extortion case brought by con artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
Following the appearance of her name in the Rs 200 crore extortion case brought by conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, Nikki Tamboli travelled to Delhi to be questioned by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW). Nikki was contacted about the case at 11 a.m. today.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provided statements, according to the report, that mention Nikki receiving gifts from Sukesh. Nikki allegedly met Sukesh through Pinky Irani, who the Mumbai Police claims was the con man's close friend and assistant. Pinky introduced Sukesh to Nikki as a producer from the South of India.
For those who are unaware, Nikki worked on a few films in the South before making the switch to Hindi television. Nikki received a Gucci bag and about Rs 3.5 lakh in cash over several payments.
In a charge sheet submitted on August 17, the ED named Jacqueline Fernandez as a defendant in a high-profile money laundering case involving Chandrashekhar.
Last week, the EOW also questioned Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi.
Currently incarcerated Chandrashekhar is accused of defrauding numerous people, including prominent figures like Aditi Singh, wife of former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh.
