On Friday morning, Atchannayadu was arrested when ACB officials visited his house in Tekkali in Srikakulam district, which had more than 100 police teams. He was taken to Vijayawada and later produced in court. According to ACB sources, Atchannayudu allegedly asked the directors of Insurance Medical Services to contract or purchase orders to a Hyderabad-based firm of his choice. The directors allotted work to the firm without calling for tenders. The firm had allegedly violated the norms of the agreement but was still paid more than Rs 4 crore.
