New Delhi: Even in the country's national capital Delhi, women journalists are not safe. A case of firing on a former crime report's car has come to light here on Saturday. A woman journalist was injured in the attack. A former crime reporter's car was opened up around 12.30 p.m. on Saturday near the Red Light of Dharmashila Cancer Hospital in East Delhi's Mayur Vihar area.

Formerly crime reporter, Mithali Chandola, was injured in a bullet in her left hand. Police rushed Mithali to Dharamsala Cancer Hospital where his condition is said to be out of danger. Two bullets were fired at the front glass of the car. While the driver's side glass was attacked with eggs. The attack from eggs is being investigated for what was aimed at looting.

The initial investigation by the police also appears to be a case of hostility. Police said the old motive behind the attack, family dispute or looting, would be clear after the investigation. Just a few days ago, a private news channel team's night staff cab was also looted on the Barapula flyover in North Delhi.
