Lucknow: The highway is going to be jammed at 183 places in Meerut, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Bulandshahar, Baghpat, Shamli and Hapur during the Bharat Bandh on Tuesday in protest against the agricultural law. During this time, farmers will not stop ambulances and wedding vehicles. The Gur Mandi of Muzaffarnagar, the largest in the West, is also not going to remain closed. Similarly, the market of Saharanpur will also be open today but the mandis of Bulandshahr will remain closed.

Today the police-administration here has tightened its security. The zone and sector schemes have been imposed and the force has been sent to the roads at seven in the morning. SP, BSP, Congress and RLD supported the bandh. However, traders have been divided over the closure of the market in Meerut and on the orders of the government, the commissioner Anita C Meshram and ADG Rajiv Sabarwal have given special vigilance instructions regarding the bandh. According to BKU leaders, there will be a traffic jam at 37 places in Meerut district. Farmers will jam all the highways, tehsils and roads leading to them.

Talking about this, District President Manoj Tyagi said, "Farmers can voluntarily block jam anywhere." Bhakiyu workers are going to jam at 85 places in Bijnor. It is being told that there is going to be jammed at places like Barrage Road intersection, Chakkar Road, Nagina, Najibabad, Dhampur, Chandpur etc. On the other hand, in Saharanpur, there will be a traffic jam on the highway at two places and the drive will be jammed at about 20 places across the district.
