After the dispute, Chhote Lal Gupta along with his son Sachin Gupta was going to Kotwali to complain about the matter. Chhote Lal Gupta had to collect money from his brother Indrabhan. There was a dispute regarding this.

When Chhote Lal set out to go to Kotwali with his son Sachin, he had reached a short distance when Indrabhan sent his son Ajay Gupta from behind. Ajay crushed both Chhote Lal and Sachin with the bolero. According to eyewitnesses, Bolero rider Ajay Gupta ran over his uncle and uncle's son Sachin several times by ramming them. Sachin died on the spot in this incident. While Chhote Lal Gupta was taken to the hospital for treatment in an injured condition, where Chhote Lal died. After receiving the news of the incident, Baidhan police station along with Additional SP Shiv Kumar Verma reached the spot and took stock. Police have taken the dead bodies of father and son and sent them for postmortem. Additional Superintendent of Police Shiv Kumar Verma said that in the police investigation so far it has been proved that the whole matter is related to money transactions.
