New Delhi: Kamla Bhasin, a woman writer and woman writer who works on the ground for oppressed women, has bid farewell to the world. Noted social activist Kavita Srivastava tweeted, "Kamla Bhasin, our dear friend, passed away today at around 3 pm on September 25. This is a hard blow to the women's movement in India and the South Asian region. She celebrated life in adversity. Kamala, you will always live in our hearts.'' Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi has also expressed grief over the passing away of Kamla Bhasin. She tweeted, "The flamboyant Kamla Bhasin, who celebrates singing and living life well, has fought her last battle. Her absence will be missed, her ravishing presence, laughter and lyrics, her wonderful strength is her legacy.''
