FIFA World Series: This is what national team calendar will look like after 2025

DOHA: Football's administrative body FIFA plans a World Series of inter-continental friendly international tournaments in up coming years, said FIFA president Gianni Infantino while addressing  to journalists in Doha on Friday, December 16.

The FIFA World Series is born: After FIFA continues to make modifications, this is how the national team schedule will seem. The calendar has continued to evolve since the announcement of the new format for the Club World Cup and the new format for the following World Cup. The national teams are the target of the new adjustments.

The current two separate windows in September and October will be replaced by an extended window with four matches beginning in late September and early October starting in 2025, with the other windows (November, March, and June) remaining the same.

FIFA will introduce a friendly competition called the "FIFA World Series" to be conducted in the March window in even-numbered years in order to increase the likelihood of teams from various confederations playing each other.

The 2030 FIFA World Cup host will also be decided in 2024, and the bidding guidelines will be released early in 2019.
