Lucknow: Namaz was being offered in the mosque since the government guidelines in Uttar Pradesh, but still many such videos keep coming out, in which people are seen reading namaz outside the mosque or by surrounding the road. This time a video from the Ghaziabad district is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Here once again people are being seen offering namaz on the road. In fact, namaz was offered on the road in the Tila Mor area on Friday (November 11). At present, after the video surfaced, the police have registered an FIR in this case.

Constable Hasmat Ali of the Tila Mor police station area has himself registered a case in this regard. According to the FIR, the constables patrolling on November 11 received a tip-off about persons trying to breach the peace in view of the upcoming civic polls earlier in the day. When constable Hasmat Ali arrived at the Gaushia Masjid near Garima Garden roundabout at about 13.30 in the daytime, he saw Mutawalli Jaan Mohammad Juma of the Gaushia Masjid telling the people who had come to offer prayers that there that the space inside the mosque is filled. You guys offer Namaz on the road outside the mosque.

Saying this, Mutwalli Jaan Mohammad sat in a queue in the road outside the mosque to offer namaz with some people, while Section 144 is also in force in the district. After this announcement, Mutawalli Jaan Mohammed along with others occupied the public way and sat down to offer namaz. The act by Jaan Mohammad and others blocked the road and caused inconvenience to passers-by. Many had to change routes and go to their destinations. An FIR has been registered in this regard.
