New Delhi: Following the Congress' countrywide protests against price rise, unemployment and the ongoing Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe against the Gandhi family, the Delhi Police has now taken major action against the party. Police have registered an FIR against all congress workers and leaders involved in the protest.

Let me tell you that, the Congress party held large-scale demonstrations across the country on Friday over several issues. The biggest demonstration was witnessed in Delhi when many Congress leaders were adamant about taking out a march from Parliament to Rashtrapati Bhavan. Due to the imposition of Section 144 in the New Delhi district, the Delhi Police did not allow Congress to take out the march. However, even after this, Congress leaders protested furiously on the streets. During this time, several leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were also detained by the Delhi Police.

On the Delhi police registering an FIR against congress leaders and workers involved in the protest, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said, "BJP can file an FIR. They can do whatever they want. In today's time in our country, it is illegal to protest and express one's opinion. So they can do what they want to do.'' At the same time, officials have informed that the Delhi Police has registered a case at the Tughlaq Road police station over the Congress protest.
