Varanasi: A fire broke out outside the operation theater of a private hospital located in the Mahmurganj area of Varanasi city of Uttar Pradesh, the country's largest state. Shortly thereafter, the fire reached the ICU. Admittedly, the admitted patients were shifted to another place in the ICU. Fire control could be found after the efforts of the fire department's team and hospital personnel who arrived on the occasion.

As soon as Wednesday morning, there was an uproar due to a smoke balloon coming out of the third floor of Galaxy, a popular private hospital located in the Mahmoorganj area of Varanasi. Immediately the hospital and the people of the area gave the news of fire broke to the Tahrir Fire Service. The fire spread from the electric board outside the operation theater to the ICU adjacent to the OT of the Galaxy Hospital.

Before the fire could take its form the hospital personnel started an attempt to control the fire through the Fire Safety Equipment and all 10 patients admitted to the ICU were shifted to the CCU and another ICU. Many patients were also on ventilators. In a short time, the fire department team reached the spot and started the process of extinguishing the fire and through the long stairs, the glass of the fireplace spread on the third floor also started breaking from outside the hospital. Fire engine vehicles also started trying to extinguish the fire by splashing water.
