Key Points about the Inauguration of Amrit Bharat Express:

Route and Connectivity: The Amrit Bharat Express will operate between Darbhanga in Bihar and Anand Vihar in Delhi via Ayodhya, linking Malda Town in West Bengal and Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminus in Bengaluru. This expansive route is set to cater to diverse destinations, as reported by PTI.

Innovative Technology: Utilizing semi-coupler technology, this train introduces a pioneering method in railway operations. By employing this unique coupling mechanism, the Amrit Bharat trains guarantee a seamless journey, capable of reaching a maximum speed of 130 km/h. The technology effectively reduces jerks during the train's acceleration and deceleration.

Ticket Pricing: For distances ranging from one km to 50 km, the minimum ticket price for traveling on Amrit Bharat Express is ₹35, excluding reservation fees and additional charges. Comparative analysis reveals that fares for the second and sleeper classes on Amrit Bharat Express are approximately 15 to 17 percent higher than those of currently-operating mail or express trains, according to railway officials.

Ticket Admissibility: Special considerations apply to tickets issued at concessional rates and those acquired through free complimentary passes that are not reimbursed. Furthermore, the eligibility criteria for railway employees availing Privilege Passes, PTOs (privilege ticket order), and Duty Passes align with the standards set for mail/express trains.

Special Features: The Amrit Bharat trains boast several distinctive amenities, including horizontal sliding windows, semi-permanent couplers between coaches, wider gangways sealed against dust, aerosol-based fire suppression systems in toilets and electrical compartments, emergency disaster management lighting, fluorescent strips for guidance on the floor, bench-type seating in specific coaches, and segregated compartments for reserved and unreserved travelers with sliding doors.
