A statement issued by the Nepalese government said that the death toll due to floods and landslides has risen to 55 and 33 people are reported to be injured, while dozens are still missing. Relief and rescue operations are being carried out. A statement issued by Nepal's Home Ministry said that 10,000 people have been displaced and have been shifted to relief camps. A large number of houses have collapsed in different regions of the country. Roads are blocked and many bridges have also been damaged. In Bangladesh, 200 villages have been affected by floods and more than 1.5 lakh people have been rendered homeless.
10 people have been reported dead in Chittagong district. According to officials, there has been less rain in some areas, but the rivers are still in the form of rough roads. Several states in India have also been flooded due to heavy rains. More than half a dozen rivers in Assam and Bihar are flowing above the danger mark. Dozens of people have lost their lives, while millions have been left homeless.
