Hyderabad: Another popular actress from South India has joined BJP. Telugu actress Vijayashanti met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday and expressed his desire to join the BJP. After which Vijayashanti has joined BJP today. She started her political career from BJP itself. However, she later joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and then the Congress.

After the BJP's spectacular performance in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Election (GHMC), the actress is now preparing to return to the party. Earlier, Telugu actress Khushboo has also joined BJP. Khushboo joind BJP after resigning from the Congress. The former MP was not active in the activities and programs of the Congress in the state for the past few months and has now resigned from the party.

Actress  Vijayashanti is called Amitabh Bachchan of South Cinema. Vijayashanti started her political career after joining BJP since 1997. She was also considered close to TRS chief KCR during the Telangana separate state agitation.
