Hyderabad: Congress has suffered a major setback in Telangana. AICC member and Telangana Congress treasurer Gudur Narayan Reddy has resigned from the party. In this regard, he has written a letter to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi. Reddy was active in the Congress for nearly four decades. According to sources, veteran Congress leader Reddy is all set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In a letter addressed to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi on Monday, Gudur Narayan Reddy said that he has served the Congress party sincerely from his student life in 1981 to the present day. Thanking the leadership of the Congress, he said that he is now resigning from the post of treasurer of Telangana Congress, AICC member and primary membership of the party.

Let us tell you that earlier, Vijayashanti, who came to politics from acting in Telangana, also left the Congress. She is joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. Before this, the actress of Telugu films Khushboo has also joined the BJP. Khushboo too left Congress and joined BJP.
