On Wednesday, Former Israeli President and elder statesman Shimon Peres passed away in Tel Aviv with the complaints of stroke.

Around two weeks ago on September 13, Peres was hospitalized and was under sedation and respiratory support in intensive care with the complaints of stroke and had made some progress before a sudden weakening in his condition on tuesday.

According to Rafi Walden, Peres’ son-in-law, “93-year-old died at around 3 am”.

93-year-old Born in Poland in 1923 honoured with Nobel Peace Prize in 1994. Peres became director general of the nascent defence ministry at the age of 29.
