Between the lockdown and the Corona transition, former Union Minister and Congress MLC of Karnataka CM Ibrahim has written a letter to Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa regarding Eid. He has demanded the CM to offer Eid prayers in Idgah or Mosque. The letter said, after consulting with medical experts, the Muslims of the state take appropriate decisions to offer Eid prayers at the Idgah ground or mosque.

Due to the lockdown implemented across the country due to the coronavirus epidemic, there is a ban on political and religious gatherings, collectively offering prayers in mosques and worshipping in temples.
