Lucknow: The Freedom Fighter Express narrowly escaped being a victim of an accident near Bharthana railway station in Etawah last night. The Freedom Fighter Express going from Delhi to Kanpur collided with two bulls on the track, due to which the engine of the train failed. After this the Delhi-Howrah route came to a standstill for some time.

The locopilot informed the station master on duty about the engine failure. The station master rushed the technical team to the spot and slowly the train was brought back to the railway station on the down line on platform number two. During this, Rewa Express, Magadh Express, Prayagraj Express, Purushottam Express, New Delhi Banaras Express, Sangam Express and Humsafar Express coming from behind had to pass through the loop line.

The engine of the goods train was brought to Bharthana from Samho station and was installed and sent forward to the Freedom Fighter Express. Bharthana Railway Station Superintendent Manoj Kumar has informed that the super fast Freedom Fighter Express going from New Delhi to Kanpur at around one o'clock on Wednesday night collided with two bulls near Bharthana station, due to which the engine of the train failed and the train was down.
