On the increasing cases of Covid, district administration Una has reduced the number of people attending the wedding ceremony from 50 to 20. Issuing an order in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Una Raghav Sharma said that a total of 20 people from both sides are being allowed to attend the wedding from May 1, 2021. It will have a total number of wedding participants, so the number of guests will not be increased by changing the venue and time. Persons other than close relatives will not attend the wedding.

DC Raghav Sharma said that from May 1, there is going to be a complete ban on public wedding programs in Una district and mass meals are not going to be held. DJs are not going to be allowed at the wedding. He said that new orders will be applicable to all marriages taking place from May 1, even if permission has already been taken for them. All permissions will be considered limited to 20 persons and the permission for mass feasts will be deemed canceled.

He said that all the brides and grooms and their relatives coming from states most infected with corona virus-like Punjab, Delhi-NCR, etc. In addition, all those attending the wedding ceremony in these highly infected States will have to return to District Una and stay at home in Quartine and undergo their Covid-19 test.

The DC said that all marriage registrations are going to take place on the basis of a certificate issued by the SDM to comply with the above rules of coronavirus in marriage. Applicants keep their wedding videography to show the concerned SDM as evidence. It is also being said that Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma has demanded all the district residents to conduct the wedding programs at home simply and cooperate with the district administration in preventing the infection of covid virus. If a mob is collected by an organizer in violation of these rules, a case will be registered against them and the crowd is going to be removed from the spot.
