New Delhi, India: As COVID-19 cases in the national capital continue to fall, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) lifted various restrictions, allowing offline sessions in all schools to resume on April 1st.

The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged everyone to observe COVID-19 guidelines, noting that fines for not wearing masks in the national capital have been reduced to Rs 500.

Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, stated on Twitter today, "As the situation improves and individuals enduring challenges due to job loss, the DDMA removes all restrictions. From April 1, schools will be completely offline. The penalty for not wearing a mask has been decreased to Rs 500. COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour should be followed by all. The government will keep a close eye on things." According to the state health bulletin, 556 new COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths were reported in Delhi on Thursday.

Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal presided over a virtual meeting called by the DDMA. Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, was also present at the meeting.
