Kochi: The Bishop of The Cyro Malabar Church Pala Dharmaprovince in Kottayam, Kerala, Mar Joseph Kallarangat, said in his statement that Catholic girls in Kerala are now falling prey to 'love and narcotic jihad.' He said this at a church function at Kurubilangadu in the Kottayam district, which falls under his state.

In a video posted on the YouTube channel of Kurubilangadu Church on September 8, the bishop warned that fundamentalists are using such methods in places where they cannot use weapons and Catholic families should be vigilant in this regard. He points out that there is a particular group in Kerala which are addicted to drugs and drugging to Catholic and Hindu youth in different localities. The purpose of such people is to corrupt another religion. Love Jihad and Narcotics Jihad are the two things that need to be addressed. In a statement, former Kerala DGP had also said that Kerala is becoming a recruitment center for terrorists. On the other hand, there are sleeping cells of terrorists.

He further said that any attempt to deny there is 'love jihad' in Kerala amounts to turning away from the truth. The bishop said there was a plan to forcefully impose Muslim views. All Catholics should be aware of this and should be careful.
