New Delhi: As the national capital gears up to host the highly anticipated G20 Summit scheduled for September 9 and 10, the Delhi Police have undertaken rigorous security preparations, including a spectacular helicopter slithering exercise executed by trainee commandos.

The thrilling helicopter slithering exercise, a critical component of the security arrangements for the G20 Summit, was conducted by the second batch of trainee commandos from the Delhi Police. This daring maneuver took place at the Police Academy within the capital city itself, showcasing the relentless dedication of the law enforcement agencies ahead of the prestigious global event.

In a prior demonstration of their commitment to ensuring the utmost security, the first batch of recruited commandos received specialized training at the Delhi Police Academy in Jharoda Kalan, utilizing an M-17 helicopter.

Delhi Police has left no stone unturned in its mission to safeguard the summit from potential security threats or protests. Their arsenal includes 'Vikrant,' a well-equipped logistics van designed to handle any law and order situation. Both PCR vans and logistic vans have been outfitted with chain cutters to effectively manage any protest-related incidents. A senior police official assured the public, stating, "We are fully prepared, and our security measures are stringent. We are determined to host a successful global event."

The G20 Summit is set to unfold over two days, September 9-10, at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan. India assumed the G20 Presidency on December 1 last year, making this year's event the 18th G20 summit and India's inaugural presidency. The theme for this year's G20 Summit is "Vasundhaiva Kutumbakam," translating to "One Earth, One Family, One Family."

The Group of Twenty (G20) includes 19 member countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. These nations collectively strive to address global economic challenges and foster international cooperation.
