VARANASI:  From the beginning of the year 2018 India has been hosting world leaders to boost Indian Economy across the world. Just Eleven days after French President Emmanuel Macron visited Varanasi, the holy city is all set to welcome another global leader the German President, Frank Walter Steinmeier today.

A joint team of German embassy officials and Central security agencies arrived in the city on Sunday. On Monday, it reviewed the preparations by visiting the places where Steinmeier along with other delegates will tour during his one-day reside.

As per reports of TOI on Monday District magistrate Yogeshwar Ram Mishra said, "All necessary arrangements are being made for the proposed visit of Steinmeier on the lines provided by Central agencies and German delegation advisories".

As per the initial tour received by the district administration, the German President will arrive in the city on March 22 mornings.  Following his tour, German Prez will first visit Sarnath to see Buddhist sites like the Dhamekha Stupa. This place is famous as Lord Buddha preached his first spiritual sermon here.  He also visited other temples and monasteries. After lunch at a hotel in Nadesar area, the German President will visit the Banaras Hindu University campus and interact with selected scholars and students.

From BHU German Prez will visit to Assi Ghat to for a boat ride and also take part in Ganga Aarti.
