Ujjain: The case of making videos and reels on film songs in the Mahakal temple complex of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, has gained momentum. In this video, the girls are seen making reels on film songs on the temple premises and then in the sanctum sanctorum. Later, videos were also shared on Instagram. After the video went viral, the priests of Mahakaleshwar temple lodged an objection and issued a stern warning that strict action should be taken against those who make videos on film songs in this way.
Temple priests said that cases of making such videos in the Mahakal temple are coming up again and again. Posting such posts on social media tarnishes the image of the Mahakal temple. The faith of the visiting devotees is tempered. He alleged that hundreds of employees are engaged in the security of the temple, but they do not accomplish their responsibility, so devotees are making videos up to the temple premises and sanctum sanctorum.

District Magistrate Ashish Singh has taken cognizance of the matter. He said that the viral videos will be tested. Also, under what circumstances and where these videos have been shot, will also be investigated and action will be taken on the basis of that. In this regard, the priests of Mahakal temple said that the temple management committee should take strict action on the frequent such incidents in the temple and the police should also take action. They should be arrested immediately so that obscenity and such videos in the temple do not go viral again and again. The priests said the committee should be aware that such incidents do not happen in the temple. Their employees are only getting salaries and are unable to save security in saving the tradition there. Such employees should also be removed and employees who make religious arrangements should be engaged.
