This year, the global unemployment figure is estimated to increase by about 2.5 million. Not only this, about half a billion people around the world are not getting enough paid work. According to a report released on Monday by the United Nations' International Labor Organization, these half a billion people are not getting the hours they want to work.

This report titled Global Unemployment was stable for the last nine years but as global economic growth is slowing down and the number of workers is increasing, in that proportion new jobs are not being created in the market. Not only this, these workers are not even able to access the labour market.

According to the WESO report on this matter, rising unemployment and deep inequality gap has made it difficult for people to live better through jobs or work. People are not getting their proper work. According to the report, 18.8 crore people worldwide are considered unemployed while 16.5 crore people do not have enough paid work. The problem of unemployment is that 120 million people in the world have given up searching for work.
