Ranchi: An MoU has been signed between the Government of Jharkhand and Shri Sathya Sai Heart Hospital. Under the MoU, every year one thousand heart patients from Jharkhand will be treated free of cost at Shri Sathya Sai Hospital in Gujarat. The Jharkhand government will spend Rs 10,000 per patient on the travel of these patients. Describing it as a historic step, CM Hemant Soren said that this MoU will provide free heart treatment to the youth and adults of Jharkhand at Shri Satya Sai Hospital Rajkot and Ahmedabad.

The CM said that for those who are unable to get treatment due to lack of money, in such a situation, this system will prove to be a milestone for them. Under this scheme, children between three months and 18 years of age in Sai Heart Hospital, Ahmedabad and people between 18 and 65 years in Rajkot will get free treatment for cardiovascular diseases. Screening of patients will be done at the district level. In the program, the CM also launched the Ayush yoga app and tracking patient app.

Manoj Bhimani, managing trustee of Shri Sathya Sai Hospital run in Rajkot and Ahmedabad on behalf of Prashanti Research Foundation, said that this process started in Rajkot in 2008. So far, more than 16 lakh patients have been screened and 16000 patients have been operated on free of cost. So far, 250 patients have registered for the camp to be held on September 2. The camp will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
