Google now allows you to automatically set location history

Google has released automatic deletion items for your location history and activity data today. Now they should be available on both Android and iOS. This function was first announced in early May, but it took a long time to implement.

This is a mid-way option that allows a company to collect location history and activity data but forces it to automatically delete them after three or 18 months. Thus, you no longer have a black and white choice - either not to allow the search giant to collect any of this data at all, or to store it forever (until you manually delete what they store).

As usual, with whatever, Google releases, do not expect to see it immediately, it may take several weeks for the function to extend to all devices there. After receiving it, you can go to the “My actions” section in your Google account and click the new option “choose to delete automatically” in the “Location history” area. Then you choose three or 18 months, and everything is ready.
