New Delhi: Lockdown-2 has been announced in the country. The government has taken care of the general public as well as army personnel. Dr. AP Maheshwari, the DG of the country's largest central military force 'CRPF', says that we cannot put our soldiers at risk. Wherever they are, stay there until further orders. That is, those officers and personnel of the Central Paramilitary Forces who had gone on leave before Lockdown 1.0 will now remain at home in Lockdown 2.0 as well. They are not yet required to join duty.

The CISF and other paramilitary forces have also issued similar orders. It is noteworthy that more than 1.7 lakh officers and personnel of central paramilitary forces went on leave before 21 days of lockdown. When they were preparing to return, the lockdown was enforced due to a corona infection. Hence their holiday was extended till 15 April.

CRPF DG Dr. AP Maheshwari said that we had also tried that some soldiers would be called on duty if not more. Discussions were also held with the Ministry of Railways for this. We could get the train easily, but even then the corona continued to fear infection. Later it was decided that the soldiers who were on leave should be allowed to stay at home. If somehow the soldiers are called now, they will have to be sent to the quarantine as soon as they arrive. Bringing them back from vacation means putting all the forces at risk, so the soldiers who have just gone home are being instructed to stay there.
