For your information, GeM is managed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the portal is currently used by government departments, ministries, military and state governments. According to a GeM official, the Ministry of Commerce is also preparing a cabinet note to push the scheme to allow the public to use the portal by early next year. GeM was launched in August of 2016.
