Giving information, District Council Chief Executive Officer Hiralal Sonawane has said that the project has started on October 2, the day of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary.

He said in a statement that, "The Zilla Parishad will build 5,000 ponds in the forest area in the entire district in the next three months. This will be a gift to the farmers of the district, so that they will be able to produce vegetables in the district in a proper way. "

"It will help in the production of large quantities of vegetables, grains and other rabi crops and will also serve drinking water and other purposes," the official said, adding that water from these ponds in summer days The need for tanker supply will also decrease, so that people will not have problems.
