Ahmedabad: As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems set to claim win in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election 2017, party's talking head in Delhi Tajinder Bagga hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's opponent Alpesh Thakur on Monday.

Tajinder Bagga brought a cake to the Delhi headquarters of the party with pictures of mushrooms on it, in the backdrop of divisive comments in opposition to the PM Modi.

Alpesh Thakur raised question on PM Modi about eating five expensive mushrooms per day and per mushrooms is casting Rs. 80000.

On the other hand, the move was under attack at the Congress and its Gujarat supporter Alpesh Thakor, who had alleged in the run-up to Gujarat Legislative Assembly Polls 2017 that PM Narendra Modi eats imported mushrooms.

Just  few days after Congress old hand Mani Shankar Aiyar's "neech" comments on Modi, Rahul Gandhi's supporter  Alpesh Thakor said the PM was a "dark" person but has become "fair" because by consumption  of imported mushrooms worth Rs 4,00,000 a day.

Consequently Sensex jumped over 300 points to an intraday high of 33,801.90, just 63 points left from its all-time high of 33,865.95 as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set for a victory in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh state elections.
