Mumbai: The issue of halal and jhatka meat has once again started heating up in Maharashtra. Raj Thackeray's party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is opposing the halal meet. MNS says that its money is used for terror funding. MNS says that due to this, the livelihood and revenue of Hindus have been greatly affected. MNS leader Yashwant Killedar said that the method of halal and jhatka meat is not just a religious issue.

Killedar further said that if halal meat is being arranged for 15 per cent of the Muslims, then why should people of other religions accept it? There is a demand for Halal meat in Arab countries, so it is done there. Killedar has alleged that this money is used to fight the cases of the accused in cases of extremism. A movement will be started for the awareness of "No to Halal".

The MNS leader further said that Halal is a cruel Islamic way of killing animals. This is causing a lot of damage to the Indian economy. The money received through Halal is used for terrorist organizations. Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians eat shredded meat in a jerky manner. The certification for using Halal for raw meat is now being taken by McDonald's, KFC, other fast food, cosmetics, Ayurvedic medicine, hospitals and other companies. In a way, the Islamic economy is being built in India. Hindu Khatik Valmiki Samaj is not getting livelihood due to Halal.
