The story of stock broker Harshad Mehta featuirng in Sony Liv 'Scam 1992' is been receiving a lot of love ever since it premiered. Hansal Mehta show received wholesome love from the fans. To illustrate, the web series has become one of the highest rated show on IMDb. Scam 1992 is a story of stockbroker who took the stock market to the dizzying heights and the series also tells about his catastrohic downfall.

IMDb has given the series 9.6 ratings on the platform which beats other favourites like ‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Chernobyl’, and ‘Game of Thrones’. IMDb has given  9.5 ranking  for 'Breaking Bad' and 'Planet Earth II', 9.4 for 'Chernobyl' and 9.2 for ‘Game of Thrones’, which was the most followed show of all time. 'Scam 1992' show, directed by Hansal Mehta, got its name after Sucheta Dalal, who had exposed the scam in the year 1992, had introduced the word in India through Harshad Mehta's case.

About the show, it features 10 episodes. Harshad Mehta character was well carried by Pratik Gandhi. Pivot roles are well played by Rajat Kapoor, Hemant Kher, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Anant Mahadevan, Nikhil Dwivedi, Satish Kaushik and others. This series was adopted from the journalist Sucheta Dalal and Debashish Basu's book The Scam: Who Won, Who lost, Who Got Away.
